Nice. I remember when I hit 1500, I dropped it in 3rd and punched it (from 6th going about 55), awesome feeling and great sound...oh sh!t...is that a cop??? just passed by but I got on the brake pretty hard (he never did tag me with radar)...whew!

yea, the car really pulls above 4K RPM...I tell people it is a 3 speed with 3 overdrive gears (4, 5, 6)...

I did my first oil change at 1850 miles but I had a free oil change coupon.
There still is contaminants in the oil from the initial start up and break in time at the factory (roller run) plus The extra 1499 miles we get to put on them

I believe it also mentions not letting the engine hang onto a gear longer than normal. Sport mode hangs onto gears, especially while decelerating after hard acceleration. And it just seemed easier to keep it under 4k.

It's an amazing piece of art that scares the ever-loving crap out of me every time I step on the gas.

For those of you who may be on board with the break-in period debate, let me tell you, once you pop that thing into Sport mode and head out tearing up the the roads, it's a completely different car. The wait was well worth the excitement this car is going to bring me for years and years to come!
NerdWerx,

Never too late for a congrats! How was your summer driving it?
