I want to put around 50% down. When I can hit that goal that is when I'm done saving and I know I can afford the car. After that, financing is 48 months max. The monthly payments themselves don't matter. I only care about what the final bill comes out to.

On a 2SS/RS, $15k down and $7k trade in, I'm looking at about $380 or $390 a month, I don't remember which.
For insurance, my state farm agent said about $100 more every 6 months then the '09 stang GT which is $600 every 6 months. |

At $15K down and payments of $450 you can have it paid off in 36 months (depending on your trim level that you're ordering)
I still havent decided what to put down. $8K minimum/$20K max. Depends on how life is going at that point in time. Im 22 yrs old so insurance is going to be a little crazy. Im gonna put my wife on the Camaro though. Its always cheaper for women. Last edited by srtclg1007; 10-19-2008 at 10:30 PM. |

I'm expecting payments upwards to $600/mo
My plan is, I'm going to purchase the vehicle, then within a year later, I'm going to either deploy or go to Korea for 6months to a year. (Air Force) I should come back with about 15k+ to put into my car. Insurance is going up about $80 bucks a month. Being under 25 sucks sometimes. |

I've been paying $400 a month for the wife's car. I really want that down to $320 or so for the 5th Gen. I'm praying I don't have to go up to $400 and am doing my best to get it to something that will better suit my family life.
