It is more the company than the country, because other manufacturers can do it. Volkswagon is a good example. My friend has a 09 Jetta TDI and he gets close to 45 mpg with very spirited driving. I do understand the emmisions thing, but it can be done. Also, the big V8 deisels in the 1 ton trucks have those same restrictions and they are able to pull that off as well. Anyone who thinks a gasoline engine is better thana diesel needs to do some major research. Horsepower is not always that impressive for the size of some of the engines being a turbo engine as well, but the torque is outrageous along with the MPG. I know they are also expensive to work on etc, but they are generally more reliable as well. I would drive a deisel Camaro myself, but I know most wouldn't, but if it was an option, I would have it.

All you need to do Scott is state that "a Camaro based product" means "a new camaro model". I have no idea why you would rather keep posting inuendo.
