Christmas light junkies

So, are there any Christmas light junkies in the community here? I'm getting ready to set up my annual display this week (took the week off to prep for Thanksgiving and get my display put up; hopefully, it will be ready by Friday or Saturday at the latest).

Christmas lights are my big obsession for the holiday, and it get worse each year, lol. My wife is incredibly good-natured about the whole thing, and of course the kids love it.

If there are other C5'ers out there with displays, I'd love to see them!

Your display looks awesome! My father in law and I go all out for Halloween but we are starting to get a little more into Christmas displays. I've been reading up on light-o-Rama displays I think that will be a project for next year. I'll post pics after we put up our display... After thanksgiving of course

Ya a fellow junkie here too! I have a pretty good size display i put up each year. I took advantage of a nice sunny day this past Saturday and got all the lghts and cords run up on the roof. I have four days off this coming weekend and I will get the rest of it up. It's fun for me and i have two little boys who love it! I think my wife thinks I'm crazy!

I used to do my display on Black Friday, too, but lately it's been taking three or four days to get everything put up (thankfully, I can still get it down in a single day). I usually try to work on it a little each weekend in November and then finish it up the week of Thanksgiving.

My son is nuts about the lights. He loves to wander around the yard and hug all of the light sculptures. My wife also thinks I'm crazy, but she contributes a new light sculpture to the display each year, always some sort of a bird. She does it specifically to aggravate me, but it's all in fun.

That one always cracks me up, but I always wonder if the Grinch also stole the two shutters?
