what is a vin number and what does it do? i just got mine today and idk what to do with it.

It is your car's unique identifier, telling where it was built (country), manufacturer, characteristics like engine, transmissions, etc, etc. It doesn't DO anything per se, but it will tell you where in line your car was produced. And it generally means you are getting closer to actually getting the car.
