This thing looks great, but how much does this thing weigh?

I suppose it can't be a significant weight addition, but is the 27 HP gain enough to compensate for the added weight and still bring more power to the rear wheels?

And that dyno is on a built up 416 with a healthy cam, so take that into account. That isn't 27rwhp on a stock car.

Thats what I was about to ask. Most of the time we see these big gains from an intake its on a larger-than-stock cube engine with a lot of cam

This makes you speculate that it's not that impressive on a "stock engine" or stock bore for that matter....

Here is a better video, talking to the engineer rather than the sales guy in the other video.

In talking to these guys @ SEMA, this is a manifold for flowing a ton of air on a non-stock motor and still fit under the hood of a C6 Corvette. An obvious application is twin turbos. The aluminum casting can take lots of boost without failure.
There is no factory tuning support for these (custom tuning only) because there is no way to predict the combinations.

This is not a stock replacement part.

here are some pics I took in their booth.

Hopefully fuel rails/etc will easily support ID1300-2000s. Also I wish they did ls7 style one, maybe that is coming next.

Then again a bone stock intake/TB is good for 1600rwhp, so this would be for a max effort huge budget build.

I think that is the market that Edelbrock is shooting for. Vararam IMHO is shooting for the other end of the market.

I just noticed in the video that at 1:19 Brent is showing the manifold to Tom Wong from the PNW. I've seen some twin turbo builds he's done so I know what he's thinking there.

As far as release, I cannot remember if these two were made on production tooling or a ceramic mold. My guesstimate would be late Q1 of 2016.

Please keep in mind that SEMA is a Industry Show not a public one. Manufacturers are showing their distributors products they plan to release in the following year.

A few companies can give you specific dates. Usually companies that receive their parts via a large boat. Actual manufacturing takes a little more time.
