Walked that hellcat pretty easy. Will be interesting to see what happens with 640hp or whatever it may end up being.

Maybe I missed it. Was there a heads up race from a dead stop? I saw both cars come off the corner and the Camaro had a good roll already. This looked like a edited shot. Looked a little biased to me but then again I'm buying the car no matter if it's uber fast or not. I'll settle for uber cool looking.

So we have a highly modified Camaro SS vs a factory stock Hellcat. I'm sure we can find much cheaper modified vehicles which can also beat the Hellcat.

O I'm sure. A modified mustang I'm sure would also beat it to. Stock for stock the ZL1 and the Hellcat is a head to head that I can't Wait for to happen.

I dragged my HC for a year fast car with drag radials. Waiting for a ZL1 It will be my new drag car. Hoping for the release in the 660-680 hp range.

Finally test drove a Hellcat. Took my friend with me. After the test drive he commented it did not have the pull my 10 camaro had. Over all fun car but no traction and when it did it reminded me more of the camaro before i finished all the mods on the LS3 with the supercharger.
If the zl1 comes out with anything close to 650 and weight is below 4000 doubt it would have issue with a stock hellcat.

The HC does indeed have a traction issue on stock rubber but it requires a deft touch to launch it. And yes, it is a heavyweight.

:b urnrubber:Dodge has to be doing something right when we are comparing other makes to it! Perhaps we will see the Cat dethroned. Then people will be saying ZL1 vs Everyone! That's the direction I'm going.

I expect the ZL1 to be quicker unless it's somehow much, much heavier than an SS. And of course we already know that on a road course the ZL1 will be blazingly fast whereas the Hellcat.... well, it's fun but not fast on a road course. Dodge still has one Hellcat card left to play: they're going to release a Grand Cherokee Hellcat. Going to be crazy expensive and sell like hotcakes. Jeep already sells more SRT vehicles than Dodge does. |
