Unfortunately, I won't be able to caravan out with you guys for this one since the wife is having trouble taken off right now. However, we just booked at the host hotel and can't wait to see you guys there!

At least we will have more SEPA5 members at Indy this year than we had at Chandler, AZ last year. I really missed you guys at Firebird...:(

That's true...and SEPA5 didn't even exist for the first Camaro5Fest.

Book at overflow hotel. I'm sure they will have more overflow hotels.

In Chandler, AZ last year my brother and I weren't able to get a room at the "host" hotel or an "overflow" hotel. We booked at another hotel closer to the show site, and the parking lot was full of Camaros and people attending the show. I didn't even go with my car, but still had a great time. I was surprised how far away from the site the host hotel is for this show (and also in Chandler). There are quite a few closer to the show site than the Wyndham. Don't count yourself out yet, there will be many from our area and beyond in the same boat. If you can't get into a host or overflow hotel, I would suggest booking one as close as possible to the show site, as that is what most people in your position will do. Did the same thing in Oshawa last year with great results also.

I appreciate the comments but, to tell the truth Indy has a relatively high crime rate and my guess is they will have some security at the host hotel parking lot and staying anywhere else would worry me too much, so for me it just wouldn't be a good time.

That part has me surprised as well, that the host hotel is so far away from the track, but I assume it has to do with the size of the hotel, and the group rates we were given.

There are smaller hotels closer to the track and close enough to the host hotel to go back and forth. Feel free to pm me if you need details, I live only a few miles from the track

Where the hotel is it is really away from things (only other hotels, businesses and freeways around that area). The major crime in Indy comes from the eastside (the hotel is on the SW side). I know it can happen anywhere but hopefully this will help ease some fears?

Also dont forget Indy just put on the superbowl and that went very smooth with no major incidents

Come on Kevin, don't back out now. With all the activity going on at the hotels I doubt that something will happen.

Hey Ralph, you can put me on the list. We're booked at the Marriott. I'll send you my info unless you still have it from Oshawa.
