The only reason someone here was able to walk on a dealership and buy one is because that dealership didnt do preorders. I have found out that several dealers in the area ordered to stock and did not do preorders. I know the one from Classic Chevrolet is going to be auctioned for charity on May 6th. What dealers are going to do with the ones they have, or how they got them is unknown to me. Also here is the link to youtube for the vids I took.

I was over at Frank Para the other day and one of them was number 427
but it's the only one I looked at. I was only able to sit in the last one because they didn't want the doors banged up but they all had the same equipment.......2SS gauges , auto, polished wheels. They really popped.

The salesman over at Stonebriar Chevrolet in Frisco told me that the one they had was the 15th one built (sure that wasn't the case) but I didn't get a look at the vin. The also tried to tell me that if I bought that one that I'd be the first person in America to have one so I began to tell them about all the people who had taken delivery and one of the guys didn't believe me. They also said that I could put in an order for one and they'd sell it at sticker which in their words was better than the people who first pre-ordered with them because they were charged 5k over sticker. Gotta love a-holes!

We got our yesterday and it's B-E-A-UTIFUL. For some reason these cars look alot more orange in person. These pics are some of the closest I have seen but cameras just can't seem to capture the true color.

He said it would be two weeks before my order would be accepted into the production system, due to allocation. Then up to four weeks to build. Plus two weeks to deliver. I can sure understand the frustration of you guys that are waiting I hope you get your cars soon. Once you do you will not be disappointed…… This is the most exciting car we’ve had in my 16 years in the Chevrolet business.

Do you want to know what I don't like about this whole situation?

The guys who preordered way back in October (I wasn't one of them)...still won't have their cars but on May 6th, anybody can walk into a dealership and buy the dealer car off of the lot.

So much for being pro-active...guess you won't be the first one on the block to have one afterall.
