Funny comments about getting a V6

Lets face it in the past V6 motors had very little respect among guys with these types of cars. I personally think the 2010 V6 is one of the best kept secret many of the public know how great it really is. I work in a automotive plant and when word got out i got the V6 i took a beating from all the guys to say the least. I laughed them off but wanted to share some of the comments i received and hope u all could share yours as well for some good laughs. First one a guy came right up to me and asked "does your new camaro have a knitting kit with it". Another asked "you got a muscle car like that and put a sewing machine engine in it wtf were you thinking man". I drive by this one guy and he always yells at me "wussy not enough man to get the V8 eh" Lets here what you guys have heard i know this has to happen to others.

It's not really a muscle car if there's no muscle. I get that pretty often.

Dude, you're in Woodstock. Why is any of that nonsense a surprise?
I'm in the 'shwa so we have a bit of a mancrush with our Camaros.
Those douches can only compensate for their insecurities - by bringing others down - it's a classic personality trait that you'll notice for the rest of your life.
I've had nothing but kudos for my cars price/performance.

When I take my wifes to get gas I get all time " that has to be your wifes". Thing is, it really is my wifes. Sorry guys, I guess I'm a woodstocker . I got to have the V-8 for me
,but I can see why someone would buy a V-6 for the gas saving and the less cost. It's a good why to get into a hot looking car for not alot of bread. Don't let people upset you, but also don't get mad to hear thease things. After all alot of the people that like thease cars are motorheads and they want the biggest power you can get when it comes to a car like this.

surprisingly i get alot of respect. If anyone gives me a doubtful look, i say it has 304hp, and then their eyebrows go all the way up.

If someone ever gets really rude, and they drive something basic, Ill say " So wtf do you drive?!" And then go on blasting what ever they have.
I will swoop down to someones level becasue sometimes its what it honestly takes to set someone straight

Well, I'm heavily tattooed and weigh in at about 230...So everyone's been for the most part very complimentary.

The thing that kills me is most people ask what year it is...and they usually say 2008 or 2009? I guess its because GM was very open with the whole process from start to finish that it seems like the car has been out for awhile.

When people ask me what size engine it has I say "Its got a 6" and I walk away. They don't know if I mean a V6 or a 6L. If they don't know by looking at it, its not worth discussing!

Same here - mostly respect for the car, regardless of the engine. For those that question it, I'll mention the 304hp. If they still question my decision, I tell them about the 29mpg on the freeway. At that point, they usually go..Seriously? Wow, that's awesome! Does anyone really NEED a v8 nowadays?
