" BOWTIE " HOW TO ADD COLOR YOURSELF

With the economy the way it is and people out of work, I Thought I share with all of you a quick and easy way to add vinyl color to your bowties without paying all of those ridiculous prices for precut vinyl.

I Read a few threads about how to change colors of your BOWTIE from buying new ones from different companies to buying vinyl colors precut. Will I went to a vinyl graphic shop today asked a few questions, and they actually gave me a 15" by 6" piece of matte black vinyl enough to do 4 bowties for FREE and told me how to do it using a hair dryer and working the bubbles and creases out of the vinyl. Went home cut a piece did the back bowtie first ( heard that one is easier ) and dam I must say it turned out pretty good. The front was a little harder but it also looks fine. took about a hour to do both. COST: $ 0.00 WHAT A GREAT DEAL. " I HAVE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE " so if I can do it, anyone can. Here are a few pictures.

(1) Cut into 4 equal pieces enough to do 4 bowties ( in case you make a mistake )
(2) use hair dryer and heat bowtie
(3) take one piece of vinly remove backing and lay on bowtie
(4) use hair dryer and credit card to smooth out ( if you need to, pull off just enough to remove bubble or crease, stretch, and replace while using heat )
(5) let cool and cut around edges with sharp razor blade and pull excess off
(6) any bubble you may get just use a straight pin and put hole in it and smooth
(7) most important " JUST TAKE YOUR TIME "

Very nice! I just recently got my Camaro. Any tips on where I can find these places? Or we're just talking about any Vinyl shop?

I went to a shop that does vinyl signs for cars, vans and trucks. Just like the shop that did the vinyl wrap for the NASCAR PIR PACE CAR, but I guess you could go to any vinyl shop, that I 'm not sure about.

You could cut into 2 pieces but I did 4 in case I made a mistake and could redue each one over again.
