I'd choose Star Wars. I already am partially living the fantasy with my own Astromech droid.

I am a nerd and I am proud of my nerdiness. I like star wars ,star trek, batman, superman, many other comic book hero's i like scifi. I like discovery channel. I like cars and trucks. i like boating and fishing. I like video games. what can I say I am a nerd at heart. Telling me I Live in my mom's basement is a joke and it is funny(little mean but funny). Is like saying because I am Irish I must be an alcoholic (little raciest but still funny).

Hey pal, it's Trekkers, not trekkies. Get it straight.
I'm hoping that the sarcasm makes it through the keyboard, otherwise I'll look like the biggest nerd of them all.

Would prefer Stargate Universe. Much less strife than Star Wars and Star Trek. How many times have things blown up parts of San Francisco in the Trek movies? Star Wars is in constant war throughout the galaxy and the Empire remains an extremely oppressive presence even post-Episode 6.

I don't think I would do star trek too much cause those ships don't seem to reliable cause always something going wrong with them. Star wars seems a lil more reliable for space travel and yea there is the empire and what not but its not oppressive everywhere corusant still seems a good place to live.

i never said i didn't like either of them. it's been so long since i really got into sci-fi, it'd be hard to remember enough to pick one, but the societal concept portrayed in star trek does seem pretty cool. and the uniform comment - any military-styled organization is gonna have a uniform, but that don't mean everybody wears that. i come home from base and put on blue jeans & a t-shirt at the end of the day.
as for san fran - from the times i've been there, it could get destroyed and i wouldn't care
