Why do some poeple treat their Camaro like S&%t?

So, i am a freshmen in college and myself own a 2002 Saturn L300 that i treat like gold. I go so far as to park it all the way on the other side of the parking lot so i don't have to park near anyone (seems like 80% of the poeple here couldnt park straight if their lives depended on it).

Whats really frustrating is there is a 2010 2ss Camaro Transformers Edition. It is a disaster. The front bumper is all dented and down low there are gouges from curbs i am guessing. The back bumper has holes punched in it from him backing into crap and is just all around a dented wavy kind of mess. The rear driver side 1/4 panel and bumper are side swiped. Every rim has curb rash and to top it all off...the paints a swirled disaster and absolutely filthy.

I get so frustrated and i see the car every day. I am 90% sure the owner of this poor Camaro is a freshmen as well and it just annoys me that most likely his rich parents bought him the car and he obviously doesn't give a crap what it looks like.

Wish i could have his car and treat it the way it is supposed to be treated. It obviously annoys me personally when i see a Camaro not treated well and neglected.

Because to some it's a car... Point a to point b.

I know ppl with Ferraris that drive them in the snow. Why? Because they can!

Some questions just can't be answered. Just worry about yourself. Life will be good!

lol. believe it or not some people aren't really into the camaro. I approached a guy with an SS and asked what exhaust he had on it (it was flowmaster) he said, "man, i dont even know. i'm not into the car like that." One person's trash is another person's treasure!

Most of the time when something is bought for you it will get trashed. Why? They did not spend their money on it

That a big problem in society today. SOME people just don't care about anything, Camaro's included. Yes, their car was most likely handed to them on a silver platter. Its too bad life is this way for some.

Not sure why people don't care about their possessions. However, I'm probably on the opposite end of the spectrum. So I suppose I couldn't really understand. I probably need to care less about crap. But at least all my stuff stays in good condition longer! Well maybe not my lawnmower... I bought this thing used, in great shape, I killed it in 2 years. First I hit one too many rocks and bent the crankshaft, but it ran, then a wheel sheared off, probably from all the extra vibration. It was great.

But seriously. To some people it is just a car, just like that was just a lawnmower. I personally can't feel like that for anything that cost half a paycheck or more because I know how long it'll take me to replace it if I break it! It probably has a lot to do with the person not realizing the value of what they have. Or they could just be a terrible driver and feel terrible about all the damage, but they still can't drive for sh**

You know, there are car forums for almost every kind of car? Look up the Taurus board. Those guys are just as fanatical when they see an abused taurus. It's just a car to some.
I like mine, but it is still just a car. Drive it and be happy. Most people think Fieros are trash, but I love building them up and making them fun. They are still worth only a few bucks, but some people pay crazy money for them.
It's all in perspective.
I enjoyed my 86 base model v6 camaro as much as my brand new one. It cost me $1100 in high school. I can't get a decent set of wheels for that price on my new one!

In general, most people's cars, and how they take care of them, is a direct reflection on them and how they live. I would bet that if a person's car (camaro or other) is a dirty mess, their house or apartment is probably the same and possibly, their life. Now there are exceptions (mud trucks & 4x4's are meant to be dirty), but like I said, in general this is the case. Think about people you know and live with.....

You can't really use the Point A to B defense when it comes to these cars. If he got a car just to go from point A to point B, he wouldn't have bought a Camaro. Clearly the owner has standards on stylishness and the kind of image he wants to portray. It's not a matter of it being just a car to him, it's a matter of the owner not giving a shit about it. There is a difference between the two. Then again, this is all moot if it was just handed to him.

I have a nephew who has torn up every car he has ever owned. Some people should ride a bus or bike. I am sure I like cars more than I do most people. Old and cranky and have had to pay for all my toys.
