Got to drive a V6 Camaro today

I work in a detail section for a dealership and a 2010 LT came in for detail. So I quick grabbed it to work on it, drove it around a bit. It's actually a fun car, had decent power and was more of a cruiser to me. I always feel like I have to be Mr. SpeedRacer when I'm in mine and this was quite a different feel. I liked it.

May get one as a DD.

I hope it was a trade back and not someones car in for service. If it wasn't a dealer car, thats a jackass move. If it was, nice

Love your car btw.

My first question that comes to mind is why are you driving a customers car. Detailing a car doesen't require a test drive and the only possible reason to drive it at all would be to move it to the garage bay and back to the lot, when I have my car in for service it's NOT to provide a toy for someone to have fun with.

Not a customers car. We detail vehicles that get ready to be put on the lot. (New, Used, don't matter) GL finding a dealership that doesn't take cars out for a spin once in awhile.

Jeez, people on this forum seem to have something up their bums lately. Lighten up.

Thank you! and yeah, it was a car that was going on the lot for sale, someone traded it in. It has 34k miles on the clock and I get dealer discount...So I was actually thinking about picking it up (or my girlfriend might). Victory Red is a really nice color in person.

How would you like it if someone took your car out for a joy ride? I mean you drop it off for repairs or oil change detail and the workers YOU TRUSTED to take care of your car go out for a joy ride with out YOUR premission? I think you be pissed and be on here ranting about it. Just saying people have a reason to be mad about that type of stuff. And i am glad it was not a customer car so glad you like the 6 banger i LOVE mine . And you do have a nice camaro nice color choise black is epic

mcdoogle,
I think the reason some jumped and yelled quickly is just recently a guy posted that he took his car in for a detail and the dealer put on like 80 miles or something. Anyway that got a lot of people fired up about the subject.

Back on topic though. That is a pretty good review of the LLT. It is a great driver and has plenty of power for some fun but at the same time gets good gas mileage and then still feels nice for longer commutes on not so perfect roads. Was it an auto or a stick? The stick give you some of the "gotta flog it regularly" feeling back but still as you described.

My car is still in the body shop after my accident. I recorded the Mileage as it is also on my copy of the damage report and I also have it recorded from my onstar app on my phone. The dealer has to test drive the car to make sure there was no damage to the suspension. If there are more than what I consider a reasonable amount of miles on my car when I pick it up then I will raise hell.
