It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday (tune in my head)
Well he's gone. My 2010 2LT will hopefully find a nice new home after being traded in. It was a great 5 year run. I love camaros and always will. Dad had 2 of them while I was growing up and I've had 3 myself. After they were discontinued in 2002 I was disappointed but of course then I went to see Transformers and fell in love all over again. I had gotten rid of my 2002 SOM SS but I knew I was going to get a yellow, black striped 2010 Camaro no matter what. And I did. Anyways, life occurs and we were blessed with twin boys a couple of years ago and it made for an adventure to fit them in my car when I needed to (we have a BIG family car for MOST drives). So this year we were blessed yet again with one more boy on the way and arriving very soon. I knew there was no way I could justify the camaro any more. He was never meant to be a garage queen (lol) so when I would trick myself into thinking I could just do that with it I would find reasons not to. It wasn't a V8 afterall. By that I mean, I got a V6 for reasons that have been argued on here infinitesimally. Pretty good gas mileage. Still rated over 300hp. I loved all those facts. But five years is a long time and now I think it's ok for me to move on from that. My next car would be a V8. I held out the SLIGHTEST hope that the 2016 6th gen would be big enough for 2 boosters and 1 baby seat. But after seeing some of the camouflaged prototypes its a pretty clear indication that it will actually be somewhat smaller than the 5th gen. So I could see where that was headed. So I did some homework and knew what I wanted next, would fit my needs, make my wife happy as well and all that. So thank you camaro5 for always being a great source of info, laughs and inspired reading. maybe in another 5 years (who knows, really) I will be looking at a 2020 camaro or something like that.
here is what I wound up getting

Great looking Challenger. I've always liked 'em.
I don't understand your story, though. You have two kids, another on the way, so you decided to trade your V6 Camaro for a V8 Challenger? I'm guessing expense and practicality were factors of minimal influence? lol |

I've owned 2 mopars in my life and they were the 2 worst cars I've owned. If it were not for those experiences I would be driving a Challenger. IMO the best looking muscle car on the road!!!!

After reading the intro, I thought you were going to get a sedan. Seeing another coupes make me wonder now what the intro had to do with the car purchase.

Compared to the Camaro.....yes. Especially rear seating. We used one as a rent car a few months back. Six banger....wasn't bad at all. Behind the wheel though it doesn't feel and view like the car looks on the outside, if that makes any sense.
