My Hot Wheels Camaro with my Hex Vents Mod

I had Hex Vents on my 2012 Camaro and loved them so much that when I got my 2013 HWSE, I couldn't wait to put them on the car. Here are a few photos with my new mod. I love the car even more now.

I will be at the Camaro5 Fest IV this year. My car will be at the Hines Performance Booth. Please come by to say hi and check out my car! I am looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing all of the cool things everyone has done with their Camaros! Just ask for Steve R.

I'm not usually a fan of the Hex vents, but they look good on your car.

Wow. Nice car. Do the trays have drain lines? Where does rain water go?

Thanks!

There is a drain hole in the front of the pans that allow the water to flow out into 2 areas where there is nothing to hit. Even when I wash my car and I do spray into the vents with my pressure washer and water doesn't get onto my engine cover. Maybe a few drops when I go too crazy with the pressure washer LOL.

I live in Florida and we have aggressive thunder storms and rain. Even on a full few days of raining my engine compartment doesn't get wet from the vents.

Personally I only use the pans for looks. I would actually drive the car without the drain pans. Because when I drive in the rain with the pans in, the water doesn't come in from the vents, but my engine conpartment gets soaked from the water spraying up from the bottom of the car and my front grill.

So the only purpose the pans serve for me is to add a cooler look to my vents. Of course without the pains some water would come in the top, especially if It was just sitting out in the rain.

Hope I answered your question. I am not the greatest at explaining things Heh.

Wow, the must do mod for Hot Wheels Editions Camaros. Really adds to the Hot Wheels look to the car. Great idea.

Do you know what would look awesome? Red light that glowed from under the hex vents that get progressively brighter as you hit the gas. You're welcome.
