Myself I think they would look better on the car than on him.

Well I finally got around to doing some badge changes. I removed the stock SS, the Hurst Equiped, and rear bowtie on the trunk. I installed the SLP 3 piece blackout instead of the magnetic on then installed a new style SS in place of the bowtie. I think it cleans the back end up and looks great!
A little story. So I had the car all cleaned up and headed to the park for some pics in the fading evening sun! All was well except when I got into the park they had just layed down new stone over the pavement. I drove nice and slow but when I started taking pics in the sun I noticed a layer of white dust all over the car! Of course I didn't bring my Cali duster so I made do with a microfiber cloth, which just kinda moved the dust around. Then, some deuschbag pulls his car into the shelter I was at right in view of my camera shots, got out of his car, unloaded the dog and hurried into the trail! Thanks a lot! So I move to a different spot only to discover muck on the wheels which I had to clean! I finally got some shots just before the sun started to fade behind the trees. What a pain but here's a few pics! The first pic is the back end before and the rest are after! |

I also removed the chrome CAMARO on the fenders and replaced them with Emblempros black Onyx ones. Now the only chrome on the car is the lug nuts, which I kinda like for contrast!

One more story and then I gotta go make dinner! Over the past year I've had a lot of people ask "what does L53 mean?" I then have to explain "it's not L53, it's LS3". You see, the hood emblems I had looked like the S was a 5. So, for a long time I was contemplating removing them but was affraid of ruining the vinyl stripe in the proccess. Well, I finally got up the nerve and did it! I had to use goo gone but I got it cleaned up pretty good.
I just ordered a pair of black 6.2L emblems that should look good! Hopefully they'll be here in a week and then I'll be done with exterior cosmetics! BIG RED is finally looking like what I have envisioned for the past 3 years! It's a slow proccess but very rewarding once you get there! I'll post pics when I get the new emblems on! |

Before you all roast me I just noticed I put the damn SS on upside down! Now I gotta figure out how to get it off and re-do! :(

I am redeemed! BIG RED was really pissed at me for screwing up that SS emblem but I'm forgiven now! I was able to remove it, with very little damage to the vinyl blackout, and it is now re-installed correctly!

Here's the last of the emblem work. These are Emblempros laser etched 6.2L emblems that I ordered black then painted myself RJT to match the body color. That completes all the emblem upgrades! I really don't enjoy removing the old ones, what a PITA!
