The second was never clearly identified, even after replacing the transmission, clutch, throwout bearing, etc. Even after bringing in engineers from Dearborn, I am not sure they fixed it. It went into the shop on day 22 of ownership/656 miles (break-in is not until 1,000 miles according to the owner's manual) and never left until it was bought back after being there for 52 days. I am not sure exactly what they did, since the dealer was remiss in keeping me updated, and I never saw a final work order. I was hoping to get it to the track, but it never made it. The Shelby did not live up to the hype for me.
I inquired about this vechicle at Orleans Ford they had it listed a 59k with 66o something miles. I was told of all the work and the rocker arm, I owned a 2012 gt500 and was looking into this car. I was scared of the issues from the factory and ended up passing on it ! I went as far as a purchase order and got cold feet with the issues and branded titile.

Those numbers seem low for a pullied and tuned 2011-12 GT500. I have seen bone stock GT500's make that much whp the same day/ dyno a new 5.0L put down 365whp. I saw a 2011 GT500 make 585whp with a pulley and tune but it had a larger TB vs your stock one.

Its actually 400 pounds lighter. 3,750lbs vs 4,150lbs

More like a 346 pound difference over the front axle. The member in question had a 2012 GT500 which has a curb weight of 3,751 pounds with a 55/45 bias that puts the front weight at 1,687 pounds vs 2,033 pounds from the 4,150 pound ZL1 with its near perfect 51/49 bias.

What I meant is the GT500 is heavier than the ZL1 over the front axel by 30lbs. The entire weight difference plus some between the the GT500 and ZL1 is unbalanced weight on the GT500.

I'm coming up with 1,694lbs over the front axle for 13-14 GT500 using its advertised 3,852lb curb weight with 56/44 bias and 2,033lbs over the front axle for the 4,150lb ZL1 using its 51/49 bias.

How are you coming up with this 30 pound front end weight advantage for the ZL1?

I was comparing the member in questions 3,751lb 2012 GT500 vs 4,120lb ZL1.

I thought we were talking about the 2011-12 based on what you wrote and can post a bunch of mag links listing the ZL1 curb weight at 4,120lbs and already posted the 11-12 GT500's weight link provided by Car and Driver.

I've read 57/43 for the GT500 and 52/48 for the ZL1.

.57*3852 = 2195
.52*4120 = 2142

I forget which magazine, but one actually listed the diference as 30 lbs. You're looking at the rear weight, not the front....
