335 is a beast almost a fair race vs ss stock. 328 vs v6 is a fair race.

get the 335i.
I used to have the v6 but it was too slow, and you cant really have a muscle car without the muscle. If you're looking for a daily driver with a bit of luxury, the 335i. If you want a daily driver made of plastic, the v6. Plus the 335i is faster.

I looked very closely at used 335i & 645 before purchasing our new 2SS..
I really liked the 335i.. responsive & "fun" if you will, to drive.. reminded me more of my autocross days... Although I did not purchase it.. I think it would be a great car for those who would not be doing alot of travel.. That being why I looked more into the 645.. which was just as much fun.. while being more comfortable & whisper quiet.. I agree with above poster however.. comparing the 335 to V6 car is unfair.. Though I did not even look at the V6 cars, so obviously didn't test drive one.. the raw power & comfort of the 2SS we have fit me much better than either BMW.. Also... cost to maintain scared me away from either as well.. You can plea warranty all you want.. unless you don't keep cars long (or lease) they do expire.. I will admit.. I am more bias as our closest BMW dealership is over an hour away.. My choice was easy as I log alot of highway miles.. Wanted a comfortable highway flyer, that got "OK" mileage, yet was still fun to be in... & to quote another agent in my office... I had the 335 with me on a day long test drive & he mentioned... "anyone can own a 3-series.." I just laughed it off, as I don't bring home near the $$ he does.. but I got his point.. If you are like me, & your car speaks about who you are.. 9/10 people won't know, nor care what a beast the 335i is.. but 9/10 will stare at any 2010-2011 Camaro Last edited by Not Far From Par; 04-20-2011 at 10:19 AM. We talking a race or a purchase?
Blonde or redhead? Each has it's advantages and disadvantages. My vote would be the BMW. Handles better, is faster, better mileage. But the Camaro has a cool factor the BMW does not. Maintenance much cheaper, less often, and easier on the Camaro too. |

(I love the v6, tis great to drive, but in my time of owning one.. ugh) Person1: Hey nice Camaro! You: Thanks. Person1: Sooo is it the v8? You: Its a v6 Person1: ..oooohhh..... the 12k I lost on trade-in was worth it, because 80% of the people who saw my V6 were immediately turned off by the fact it had 2 less cylinders.

335i would murder the V6 camaro
i used to have a 335i but got tired of the HPFP so we sold it :( we now own a 325i and a LT camaro: from our experience my 325i hangs with the C5 until about 40 and then the C5 will pull about a car length off of the 3. from a roll though the BMW comletely leaves the C5 behind. Our 325i pushes out 215HP at the crank--335i is RATED at 300HP (i still think that is low). Even the e90 (sedan) weighs 400lbs less than the camaro. Moral of the story. Leave the 335i alone in a v6 camaro. If you had a SS then thats would change everything i believe. |

So the SS is a cool Camaro while the V6 is not? Glad you spent 12K more so you could get the approval of others. I could've had an SS, but in the end being able to plenty of disposible income to help support myself, my fiancee, our upcomming marriage, home improvements, and other life style hobbies won over being able to say "Its a V8". EDIT:...not wanting to start the millionth "V6 vs V8" debate. SS is king of course, but come on. Glad you finally got what you wanted though.
