Before you start look at used prices around in your area.

There was four places here in town that use to do the same thing. Two have shut down due to low sales and because the used car market around here is going for far less then it use to. I was looking for a beater last year and you can easily get a 2000 or newer model car in good condition for less than $3k.

Start with one privately, try a few... if the bug bites- get bonded to be a dealer and hit the local auctions and up the game.

Have you considered the insurance?
