Engine Light Question..2012 SS

I installed Long Tube headers w/High Pro cats on the car about 7 months ago had no engine light problems now i have taken out the resonator and installed a x-pipe and now how full exhaust to the back with Flowmaster Thunder Mufflers I am in IRAQ so i had my Wife drive the car yesterday and now the Engine light is on..anyone run into this problem after a complete exhaust install..Ideas...?

Probably the rear O2 sensors if they weren't tuned out.

you need a tune.......to go with the headers

First thing you need to do is pull the codes and see what the problem is. With mods like yours, a handheld ODB scanner is an essential piece of equipment IMO.

Plenty of guys up your way in Cocoa. Post this over to the Florida forum. I' m sure someone can stop by with a scanner and tell you what the code is. Then decide how best to address the issue. Try the Space Coast Camaro Club.

Yes still have the Cats... High Pro cats and no tune...but i have had the headers on the car for months and no engine light. Ideas sound good so I will take and have the car checked when i get home so prob just a sensor i was thinking the same thing and Thanks for the replies.....

Yep I'm betting on the rear O2's. Some get away with it and some don't. It's best to have them tuned out.

It's funny now that you say that i think someone at FSP told me the same thing awhile ago and that i was getting lucky with it oh well i will get it fixed....Thanks again........
