***Cartek Heads and Cam SS Runs New Best @ 10.83 and New Best MPH 129!***
This past Friday we attended a track rental where we set a new best on the Cartek Heads and Cam Dragan-XR package. We achieved a best ET of 10.83 and a new best mph of 129.
As per the request of many, in the video below we have included an idle video (with walk around) so that you can get a feel for how this cam sounds and idles. Futures mods for the car will be PFADT “drag-pack” kit. Enjoy the video and let us know what you think Thanks, Julian Cartek Performance Engineering (908) 317-4496 www.cartek.net Last edited by Julian@cartek; 12-14-2011 at 09:09 AM. |

That is absolutely awesome man!!! NA and moving out, you have actually beat my blown car by .01. How much does the car weigh? reason I ask is I made 536rwhp and have an automatic car, stock internal w/ a whipple and I would think yours is a good deal lighter I ran just under 127 mph at almost the same ET so I would think lighter or much better DA, however my DA was pretty good at -376.
The car sounds beast! Must be a pretty tight overlap or some serious duration. Souns like the TA I had w/a 109 lobe sep NA cam custom grind. That baby loped its butt off. I doubt your running a 109 but boy it sounds good.

I think the only weight reduction on this car is the aftermarket wheels, a racing seat and muffler removal. I think it is a customers daily driven car. Different dynos also....so the difference could be more or less as well. (which I am sure you know) |

I've seen this car at the track. They get there and take the entire exhaust off. They also have no seats besides the racing drivers seat. If they take the time to do that what else is done that isn't visible. This car had no blower and is a stick so no extra 200 lbs. Last edited by Supercharged SS; 12-14-2011 at 07:53 PM. |

So what, if it was me i take the back seat out too, Bring what you got and only have 3 gal of gas in the car on a run.
Hay nice work guys it look like the rear is still bouncing on start and sift, you may pic up some time in the 60 ft if you get it to plant more. |

I never said there was a problem with taking parts off....... Whatever floats your boat. I was just stating what I say.

Maybe this will clarify exactly how we run; It was weighed at Etown, 3813#with a heavier driver but we couldn't get any runs that day. here is a calculated break down. +3,860# Curb weight +185# driver, helmit, etc. +15# for heavier clutch, 1 piece drive shaft and 1000hp axles -76# to reflect 1/3 tank of gas instead of full tank -48# for pass side seat -25# for driver side seat swap to Corbeau race seat and adj. track -28# for rear seat -20# for rear to back mufflers -100# for wheels and tires ----------- total 3,763# race weight? with 1/3 tank. This is the way many here will run at the track. Julio |
