PS3 & Xbox360 & Subs in my Camaro PICS

Well I built a xbox360 padded shelf in my car a while back and Just had a subbox sitting in the trunk. It was sloppy and took up nearly all of the trunk. Also, to swtich xbox games I had to pull over and pop the trunk.

So, I decided to build a sub box and 2 padded shelves one for my PS3 and One for the xbox. Now, I can watch blurays in the car and then play GTA IV all day.

Exactly what i was thinking. That older xbox gets hotter faster than the slimmer versions. PS3 a little bit harder.

LOL, that's pretty cool, but I have no idea when I'd ever want to game in my Camaro. I barely have time to do it in my actual home!

Yes there is a fan hooked to my power inverter behind the shelves, so when I flip the inverter switch the fan goes on .

looks great but wouldn't the speaker eventually rattle their internals apart? also, you should make a one piece frame so that you cover up the foam.

I'm thinking of something like that too... However you should consider some serious cooling back there. There doesn't look to be much clearance around the consoles either. Just the temp fluctuations of being in a trunk can cause the thermal paste to separate from the heatsink & processor.

No disc scratching for the 360? If my 360 is bumped, I get concentric scratches on the disc and it is ruined. I know there are/were a few different optical drive manufacturers, maybe this could be the difference.

I was worried about the bass messing up the internals, So, thats why I made them two separate pieces

I have a fan that puts out a lot of air back behind the 2 consoles

No scratching in a 3 hr drive with the xbox on. Thats why the foam is there.

Thanks man.

If you decide to add either system, make sure your power inverter you buy is at least 800W AND hooked to the battery terminals with the rings (NOT crocodile clips)

Anything under 800W will not power either system, and if you use the crocodile clips on the battery terminals and not the rings you will see static lines on the screen.
