Talking Apex ZL1 lowering springs: Before and After

You guys have probably already heard about Apex reviving some of Pfadt's former products under our brand so I wanted to share these photos from one of our local guys, 2011Black2SS. As aggressive as these cars look right off the showroom floor it is amazing how the right stance makes them look straight up mean.

I never really did hard cornering in the car before hand, but these springs did great at Putnam Race Park (1:22.13 was my fastest lap which isn't bad for the first time being there) and at the Tail of the Dragon.

It would be nice if you had the "after" picture from the same angle as the "before". I can't really see the difference as it is. Thanks for posting though.

I did not hear about this. Are these the exact same parts that Pfadt engineers designed and spec'd? These are 1 inch lowering springs front and rear? What other parts of theirs are you guys having manufactured?

Wish we had some identical photos but we kind of had to work with what we were given. I'll try to do that in the future.

Yes, we took over exactly where Pfadt left off. It is right at 1 inch on the ZL1. The next item up will be the ZL Spec sway bars.

He doesn't seem to have any clearance problems that I have seen. I know he has more clearance than I do in my car. He will probably weigh in shortly.

I usually hit most speed bumps at an angle, but there have been very few things that I have rubbed the front splitter on. Speed bumps haven't been one of them. It's usually steep quick inclines on driveways that I have issues with so I just avoid those.

These are as close as I could get that I have on my computer with the angle.

The car isn't as low as my SS was on the coil-overs, but I think this is a good balance between the two ride heights and still keeps the close to stock ride feel.

Not firm enough that I can release it right now.
