lag in accelerator response

I picked my 2SS L99 up two days ago and noticed right away that the response in the accelerator was slow, like a lag. I am thinking this might be the bad fuel bug, but I thought that bug was fixed. I just wanted to check with you guys before I go and ask the dealer. Or should there be a lag on these cars?

I will do my best to burn this tank up as quickly as possible so I can try pulling the fuses...

Mine had the same, but after about 500 miles it started to go away. Please make sure and break in your car properly (like you just robbed a bank). These cars will learn how you drive.

It wouldn't hurt to do the fuse pull after you've made sure you've gotten all of the old fuel out.

Oh, and congrats on getting your car!!!

wait for the gas to run low. Very low. Then fill up with the highest octane gas from a quality gas station. Before you go to sleep, go into your car's fusebox (located just above the ECM in your engine bay) and pull out the #5 fuse and the #20 as well. Leave them off over night. In the morning, plug them back in before you fire up the car, and the problem should be gone. From here on, only use the highest octane and quality gas. Your car will basically give you shitty performance if you put shitty gas in it

there is actually a product that you can buy that will improve the throttle response time. When you call for the throttle it responds faster than the stock TPS. Keep in mind, this product does not increase the power of the vehicle in any way, only the response of the throttle, so it will "feel quicker", but the real times will be no faster. On a dragstrip I guess it might help you if you had a slow reaction time. never tested that theory, just a guess.

It's called a Sprint Booster.

I have never tried one, this is just a product that I know is out there because I have received literature on it from the manufacturer before. Never picked it up as a product because I don't know if it would have much of a sales potential, because it seems a bit pricey to me. But, maybe it is worth it
