I think you need a tune for the headers which will void the warranty. I've got the same constraints so if there is a way around the tune, I'd love to know.

A Camaro with no Muffler is actually quieter than a old school 5.0 with No Cats and Flows and thats a common thing in Texas.

besides with or with out a muffler some loudmouth mufflers sound louder than without.

Denton is an emissions county. No sniff test just an obd hookup. If you get high flow cats you will need a tune to make it pass. And yes there is a visual inspection for mufflers, as long as you havesome muffler you should be ok.

Hey I am in Denton county myself! I just bought a 2014 Camaro SS (my first V8!) I am also currently modding mine. Had it 2 days now and I already bought exhaust for it lol!

Here is exactly what she will sound like . http://youtu.be/r26Lzm600ds. M6 2010 LS3 fyi also in denton.. Paloma creek. Shoot pool?

Edit.. just realized I replied to a 2011 post. Lol.. no one probably still lives in the same house.

As for the law interpretation.. seems like if the can somehow prove your purpose was to make it louder you might have an issue.. The resonators ARE mufflers period. That said. If I got pulled over I wouldn't get into a fight over it. I would calmly explain my purpose and why and accept his warning and move on... if it became an issue like more than once in a blue moon I might get MagnaFlow but doubt seriously I will ever get in trouble. I did not delete the trash can mufflers to make it louder.. I did it to even out the airflow i.e. performance. With the CAI I wanted to let her breath better. Gas milage etc.. Sound is not too loud imho. Little Honda passed me 2 x louder than me.
