Will moonroof slide into the roof?

Since the moonroof in the ATS coupe slides into the roof, and the new Camaro is built on that ATS architecture, I was wondering if anyone knows if the moonroof will slide into the roof now.

I hope so! Maybe the reverse Mohawk can still be there!

Get ready for the haters to come out and say the moon roof adds weight, cost and reduces headroom and you are not a true enthusiast since you don't want the most basic version of the SS.

That's pretty much the tone I get for having a convertible....

If it slides into the roof, it will eat up more head room in the car.

I hope not. If it does, that means the "reverse Mohawk" will cause GM to have to lower the headroom or make the sunroof glass smaller. I say let it slide up over the roof, as it does now on my '13. It's just fine that way.

Hopefully it goes in. Not that I would buy one, but that's something I always hated in the 5th gen.

One of the engineers that did a chat on Facebook the day they unveiled the 16 said it was going to get a "awesome" new sunroof.....

Whether that means great like what we have...or great like different.....not sure.

But I'll be getting on regardless....love my sunroof !

I for one like the up and out slide, it looks cool in my opinion when opened, like a roof spoiler. Ha Ha.

I don't care what anyone says..... I'll have my SS with a 6 speed stick and a moonroof. My car will be just as fast as the enthusiasts.

If one more person complains about headroom I'm gonna reach through my screen and smack them. You want headroom buy a van.

LeBron James is 6'9" and 270 lbs and he fits fine in both of his Ferraris which both have far less headroom than a Camaro with a moonroof.
