2016 Camaro SS, can I get it without that ugly spoiler?

It's so bad, any way to order it with a spoiler delete? It ruins the car for me.

Unless I missed something, the options haven't been released. It probably won't be until fall before we know about options like spoiler delete.

I love the lip spoiler, I just hate when cheap plastic pieces are bolted or glued onto a car.

It has a specific design function behind its shape.

To say they just glued on some random cheap spoiler is a little harsh. They put time and effort into its shape and function.

That said its not my favorite either but have also seen worse.

With a consideration to how much you want to believe the hype, that spoiler has some measurable effect for track duty. If you're not the kind to care about these things, then yeah I can see wanting to delete it.

Yeah I'll never be on a track or driving at a speed in which that spoiler would have an effect.

I'd much rather have the streamlined and clean look without it. It could be a deal breaker for me lol, it's an eyesore on an otherwise very sleek and sexy car. It reminds me of like an 80's Lamborghini spoiler haha.

Camaro Product Manager Cheryl Pilcher did a Facebook Q and A the day of the reveal . One of the questions was "Do i have to take the spoiler on the SS?"

Her reply was the "Spoiler is standard on SS. There will be accessory options."

i take that to mean no delete, you can switch it out yourself with something else or have the dealer do it perhaps.

I hate wings. I would be ripping it off and replacing with the wickerbill style in a heartbeat of taking ownership.

Wings are for rice and Fords.

I respect your desire for one.

But - for me, I think that a wicker bill looks absolutely ridiculous and that most people only want it because they are convinced it is the 'next big thing'.

Really, unless a person is seriously tracking his car ANY spoiler is just for looks and actually adds weight.

But we all do not like the same things and that's great!

Actually, the spoiler can help reduce drag and improve fuel economy on the high way. Not every spoiler is about creating down force.

This item will be a golf mine for aftermarket spoiler manufacturers. I have no doubt 3D Carbon and most of the others are already drafting designs to replace it.
