exhaust tips

Car is about to go in to get a new rear look, and i plan on installing quad tips with 1LE diffuser. Took the diffuser to a local muffler shop and i wanted to see 3.5" tips. The guy said 3.5" tips would not only look ugly, but would not fit?? from what i hear on here that what some have ran. Am i wrong? advice please

also 1 more question, what should be the inlet for the stock exhaust system? does it matter?

The muffler shop you went to is stupid. Not only do 3.5" fit, but 4" fit too.

3.5" tips look great, that is as close to dual mode NPP look as you can get. Some people like the 4" but for me they are a tad too big.

I have the 1le diffuser with 4inch quad tips; I personally like it better than the 3.5...it fills the opening much better with a fingertip space all the way around the perimeter between the diffuser and tip

1LE with 4" tips works great so 3.5" will be fine

The SS is 2.5" Inlet. As for how much to cut, that needs to be determined at install.

I've got a set of dual 3 1/2 inch if you want to go that route. I ended up getting the 4" instead. 75.00 shipped. They are brand new. Never installed.
Here is a pic of them on the car (I bought two sets)

Check out my build thread. I got my diffuser from Ofer (2SSRS). Love it. Got 4" tips on mine and the inlet is 2.5" and is the same for most aftermarket mufflers as well.
