Hmmm they described it as a Functional RAM AIR INTAKE hood. In no way is that a Ram Air Intake hood. It is a heat extractor hood. Wonder why they couldn't describe it correctly?
I just sent them a question through E-Bay about it.

Well I got a reply, they said it is a copy of the Jay Leno hood, and the air intakes were functional. Now correct me if I am wrong, weren't the openings in the Jay Leno hood for heat extraction and not air intake? If so they don't know what they are talking about. I am going to do more research. More to come....
Ok here is what I discovered about the actual Jay Leno Camaro.... Quote:

I sent Demon and Buffnshine the details about the shop. Hopefully one of them will have more info for us to see what's up.

After seeing transformers 3 I want that hood, I saw the Leno car in person and it's stunning. I really hope this pans out I was thinking of the seibon. I just don't like the price.

Very cool, really don't want to use hood pins though.

All the talk about having to have a professional body shop having to fit it by adding or cutting the hood and having to use hood pins to hold it on makes me question the quality. For the price they ask it should fit perfectly and not need hood pins.

Sent you the pm too Rockin.
It's all up in the air. Plus ACS hasn't posted info yet either. The only company to have a good hood in this style so far is the Seibon one, and I don't like the carbon look so I'd have mine painted, so I only really need a FRP one to paint it. If this doesn't pan out I'll just end up going to ACS when they price theirs |
