Drink in Cup Holders + Manual= Weird shifting

I absolutely love my new Camaro, but just one complaint. As I began driving it everyday and started to come across everyday things you do in the car I have discovered that the cup holders and having a manual do not get along if you have anything taller than a can of soda in it. You find your self with your are all jacked up in a weird position trying to shift over even a normal 20 ounce. Not that it is a huge deal. I just wish they could be deeper but I understand the tranny is down there. You know it's a good car when the only thing that is just slightest inconvenience is the cup holders Just wondering what other manual owners think

I read about this complaint in the suggestions for disciples thread:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67037

I don't own yet, but did notice during my test drive that this would be an issue.

YEah that is what I have been doing. I just have the bottle in the passenger seat or next to me in the seat. I dont eat in the car, but when I go through a drive through and my passenger or I order a meal that comes with a giant drink it is like shifting over a wall! Ha but hey!..I'll survive! I'm driving a new maro!

I actually use my son's booster seat w/cup holder for my cup holder instead of the factory cup holder. Unless it is a 12 oz. can, it is a pain in the @ss to shift..

Works all right with my long neck Labatte Blue in there, oops

I kid, I kid, agreed not handy positioning but I can live without my 64 oz slurpy while driving.

So far every stick I've owned treated the cup holders as an after thought when it comes to manual drivers. I just look at it as a way to practice my flexibility. It helps when you need to get to those hard to reach places while working on your car. lol

But w/o farting how will you ever get rid of that new car smell or know if the girl you are dating is really in it for the long haul?
