Stealth rock guards + HUD

I'm swapping my wheels to 275/40 20" up front and 315/35 20" in the back. I want to put on rock guards to protect the paint. I'd like them to also be as "stealth" as possible.

Which ones do you recommend? I'm currently looking at these, but wanted to check if there were any others folks recommended.

On a side note, I just found out the prior owner installed a HUD - I thought it came as part of the 2010 order. He must have installed a 2011 dash as part of the DIY or he had really good cutting skills. I typically have it turned off, but then turn it on for spirited driving. An unexpected and pleasant surprise.

Personal preference. I find it a bit annoying because I've gotten used to the better HUD resolution/features on my Corvette and Cadillac.

wastepile. I'm a big fan of these from RPI. You can have them painted the same color as your Camaro Gen5. I also have 315s in the back.https://www.rpidesigns.com/shop/item.aspx?itemid=1922

Thanks!! wastepile. If you do decide to get them, PM me if you need help installing them because when they first came out, the instructions weren't they best. Also, you will wait about 6-8 weeks if you get them painted(get the premium set, either way) but let me tell you, they do amazing paint work. They are affiliated with a few other shops but I use RPI or Phastek mostly. Good luck what ever ones you choose. The Camaro Gen5s can never look bad.

Nice. I like the factory ones that came on my 2013 1SS but was very surprised after I bought the fully loaded 15 Commemorative Special Edition 2SS that it didn't have any rock guards at all - and the tires are wider. Seems weird to me.

As for the HUD, I love mine. I don't even notice until I need it and then it comes into focus.

I did the HUD update in my 2010 2LT back in the day (IIRC I was number 11 or 12 to do it). Let me tell you it was not for the faint of heart. I sold it before I upgrade the windshield so it was a bit blurry. (I just picked up an '11 2SS yesterday and have a new user name). Here's what it took:

Whoa! That is impressive. Do you have a build thread with your old user name? If so. I'd like to read it.

Not in my name but I remember using another guy's thread for the build. I believe it was 2012 or 2013 when I did it. Had baggies with step #'s and parts. But I'm glad you asked - I found the thread and my old user name of DKP2LT. I'll have to get the password reset.

Here is the original DIY from 2SSRS@Gen5diy.

I went with the ZL1 addons rock guards and was disappointed in the rear ones. The front ones (for a 2010) attach to the body via 2 screws, 3M tape, and then 1 clip. The rears, however, attach to the body via 3M tape only - no screws and no clips. This was surprising because when I watched youtube installation videos it showed 3 screws with spacers getting used. Lesson learned - that is only with other years/models.

I like the Phastek rear rock guards; however, they are not currently available. So I ordered the RPI rears with custom coloring.

I know this is late, but I really like the pieces from Aero Sport Concepts. I have their full aero kit on mine.
