That said, I wouldn't trade my 22's for a set of 20's as this car is a cruiser and I'm not trying to squeeze every last 0.1 second out of the car as some others. The appearance really does look that much better to me.
Agreed. But I can't get off the line. A stock GT would beat me from red light to red light right now because I can't grip. Even with my extra 250+ more whp than him. But it's a HAAAARD decision. 22s are the perfect look. I gotta get some 20s though.

Bonnies brother and family will be here Thursday night I forgot. I did the suspension work tonight. I'm ready to try these tires but may have to wait til next week. :(

That's why you need monoblock 22's like mine. Besides, why do you want to race from a red light. Blow by him in the corner...

You have the "special" wheels, try getting some round ones and you'll do much better off the line, I promise.

At least you don't have to worry about a third petal when you launch.

except for when he goes into the corner, his minimal tire patch and... dare I say it... excess power will let him keep on sliding...lol

It is not that automatics suck in the corners, it is that if the auto decides to shift in a corner, it could upset traction and stability. Therefore, slap it in manual mode and shift when you want.

Had the same prob. Wider is your friend. Once I got the 11.5 rears and the 315 Nitto's, life is good and traction is even better!!

22in wheels havent had an effect on ride quality... even after lowering the car 1.2in on eibach springs,

i will say however AVOID POTHOLES. add some verdstein tires which are pretty hard tires will help. plus they wear pretty well 16k miles and they still look new

Well, I ended up going with my gut instinct and sticking with 20's after seeing my friends Asanti 22's on his camaro, it sat extremely close to the caliper, you could barely fit the key between the spoke and the caliper. Plus I didn't like how close the 22's tires were to the fenders, not much room for travel especially on NY roads. Thanks everyone for the input.
