Installed Vararam Wedge
Before my 5 mile commute, I installed the wedge into my combo, L99 bolt-on car.

Me too but it feels more torquey from 2000 up.

I tried it with the Vararam intake and am now going to repeat with the stock airbox just to confirm.
What you have found seems to be very consistant with others and the independant dyno results.

I liken it to that feeling you get when you manually shift the L99... Like when I want to keep it in 3rd gear at 3000 because the car feels powerful. That dinky little piece of plastic seems to make the car feel more torquey in the mid range which is where I am in moderate traffic.
I'll keep driving and thinking about it. Maybe track next Tuesday at GLD.

About to drive home see if it still feels different. I'd love to go WOT somewhere, but where.

I did the wedge and a K&N aircharger at the same time... so while I can't say which one is responsible, but I'm thinking these headers needed to breathe because the car seems A LOT stronger, a lot more than I was thinking... and i've been modding V8s for a while... i'm getting the car retuned tomorrow night but no dyno, just some logging/hptuning from a local tuner who has a pretty damn good reputation

I can't say the car is faster overall, but I like the increase in low-end grunt.

let yourself get used to it, remove the wedge, and see if the car feels the same. then you will know if it is real or not.

Unless my car runs goofy at the track like it's super low on mph it's staying on the car.

I just meant for testing purposes. I am currently running mine until I put on a blower, then I will sell it, unless someone wants it now. |
