making the vents functional would definitly add cost to the car, and i'm broke as it is...i'm more than happy to have some non functional rear vents if it keeps the car in my price range

i for some reason have a feeling you'll see them be open functional vents on the top performance vehicles just to aid the cooling of the brakes while at the track or whatever. How many cars have some sort of functional brake cooling aid on them? Quite a few and I'll guess the top Camaros will have them too.

True. Maybe there is something else that can be done to make the vents look real. Heck..they make stickers that look like the car has been riddled with bullet holes for cryin out loud. Im sure this would be an easy task to do with some stickers, tape, ect.
Just have to put some thought to it and get creative.
Dream a little bit.

Wonder if we'll possibly see a functional vent on the hood with the top version also.

Now that everyone has seen it in person, what do you think about them now?
The indentations is one of the biggest things I like about the Camaro. Now when Revolution gets the chrome accents for them, I'll slap a couple on mine.

I do like the vents. They are a seemingly small feature on the car, but they add greatly to its personality, IMO. The chrome accents would be nice. I am personally considering blackout decals but will wait 'til I actually get my car before making the decision

I'm still curious about what made GM execs, after showing little interest and finally cancelling the Camaro in 2002, suddenly want to bring it back just a few years later. Was it new management, the success of the retro Mustang, or something else?

2 reasons...and we need to be thanking for Ford and Chrysler every day for this

1) The success of the 2005 Mustang

2)The success of the LX Platform from Chrysler (i.e. Chrysler 300, Dodge Magnum, Dodge Charger)

Personally I believe that if both of these hadn't been wildly successful we'd still be praying for our favorite car to make a return
