Where is my RS logo and Fog lights?? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I finally got my Camaro this past Friday and I had ordered a 2SS with the RS package. On the back right side I have the SS logo and i thought on the front right inside the grill there should be a RS logo but it says SS. So my first question is; is that correct or should I have an RS logo there?

In the owner's manual it says that I should have a button to turn on the front fog lights but it's not there. I have the dial to adjust the lights but no button. Does anyone know anything about that?

SS with RS package has a red SS emblem.

When you order V6, you get no emblem.
When you order V6 with RS, you get the red RS badge on front grill and back trunk.
When you get SS, you get white SS badge on front and on back.
When you get SS with RS, you get red SS badge front and back.

Fog lights are automatically on for daytime. They turn off at night when your halo's and headlights are on. You can manually turn off your fogs and turn on your halo's if you wish...that's how I ALWAYS drive around during the day.

Listen to Tag Ur It! I visited mine at the dealer last night and I also got an SS/RS. It had 1 red SS in the back and one in the front. I plan on buying an RS emblem and 2 addition SS emblems.

The SS supercedes the RS badging. If your car only had the RS badges on it, noone would know if it was a V-8 or not, unless they saw the slit in the front. I would rather have people know I drive an SS than an RS.

Sometimes I wonder about the intelligence of this group.
1. Any Camaro above an LS has fog lights, whether it's an RS or not!
2. The center of the headlight dial is actually a button that turns on the foglights!
3. READ the owners manual. It's all there.

it won't let you have your fog lights and HID/Halos on at the same time because it doesn't want you to blind someone and cause them to drive off the road and die!

No, any Camaro with the RS package doesn't have fog lights as they serve as the DRLs. There is no button to turn them on.

Wrong the RS package turns your foglights into DRL's (daytime running lights) they wont come on at the same time w/o modification because of the power of the HID's
