I have come to a similar conclusion - not real crazy about the red SS & RS emblems. I am taking an approach to cut back on the number of colors and finishes. Got rid of gold bow ties, removed red from SS and RS (wife's finger nail polish remover) and even took the red SS off of grill and trunk. I have chrome "LS3" letters now replacing the red SS on trunk, however I feel the letters are too big. Have new set on order from Emblem Pro which I hope will be smaller and look better.
