Z28 weight
I was looking on gmauthority for the z28 and at the picture that had the plate for vehicle weight it says GVWR is 4649 that is actually heavier then the 2010 Camaro RS/SS which is 4647. Does the 427 weigh more? just curious

It's probably the springs or tire sidewall allowing for more weight.

my bad on gross weight brain fart..ugh ....
if the z28 is 300 less then a zl1 ,4120, and a 2010 Camaro weighed in at 3860 doesn't that mean the z28 is only 40 or so pounds less then a 2010 Camaro? Did HUD and other new options add that much more weight?

That means with an upgrade on exhaust only to a 2010 Camaro ss it can be equal or less weight then a z28. That's crazy how over the last few years the camaro has gained in weight.

Lots of things add to the weight, and this is only one, the Z28 has a diff oil cooler and line's all the way to the radiator, like the ZL1 but the diff is not the ZL1 diff, so add that to the weight, and that is only one part.

The sad thing is every time the manufacturers find ways to lose weight for added performance and increasing 'Fuel Economy" (per the Gov't), the Gov't ask for more weighty safety features. 1 step forward 2 back.
