Have not had the balls to try it yet! Especially after that guy planted that corvette into the trees using launch mode. LOL
Supposed to be 4400 RPM I thought |

Too low an RPM to be useful at the track. Wish it were tunable.

I tried it once on hot, sticky tires, no suspension mods. It wheel hopped and the ring & pinion did not like it, they whine now. Never again!

My 13 is set at 4400, I used it probably 10 times. The car either bogs down or the tires spin bad. Only 1 time did it actually work and it went like a bat out of hell. But its far too inconsistent. I tried it recently (1st time since new Michelin PSS tires) all I could smell is clutch.
My .02, launch it your self and don't use it at a drag strip.

The only time launch control is really any good is with a dual-clutch transmission. On a manual, it's just that -- MANUAL.

its in the 4k rpm area. if yours is going to 5200 then you arent pressing the gas down fast enough

I've used it a number of times in my '14 with no problems at all. That said I have had varying results. Even though it seems like it should be a no brainer, the speed in which you let out the clutch pedal please a big role in results. You should not be dumping the clutch, you need to let off the clutch at about the same speed you'd use for a normal start. |

Crissis said it perfect .... Use launch control but don't dump the clutch or you're asking for trouble. Ease out of it and let it slip a little .
