Lease turn in question
I have a 2015 1LE lease that I will be turning in in about 10 months. I am in need of rear tires at this time. I am wondering whether Chevy/Ally will require that I put the stock Goodyear G2 tires back on the car or whether I can just use any random tires. I have already read through all 16 pages of the tire and wheel thread twice and there are an abundance of opinions on alternatives. Any feedback is appreciated.

Why not call them and find out? What they say is what matters anyway.

It doesnt matter what brand of tires you have on the car at turn in as they are consumable items. Mileage and Damage are the key players in a lease.

You may want to check you lease paperwork. Most require 4 matching tires of the correct size and of the correct speed rating at time of turn in. They don't have to be the original brand that come on the car. Some dealers may overlook this, but you could be charged if they don't.

Did you get the GM red carpet lease? If you did, tires brakes and minor interior exterior damage doesn't matter.

You don't even need new.....acceptable tread life is all they are looking for.

We're currently leasing a 2015 Cruze as my wife's DD. The paperwork we have only says that the tires must match the manufacturers recommended guidelines.
Mismatched brands shouldn't make a difference as long as the tires are of the same category and speed rating. |

Thank you all. As one response recommended, I will call and ask them and report back.

It should be spelled out in your lease paperwork. That is what I would check. There is usually (but not always) a minimum tread depth.
