I know they are adding a bunch of employees, but I thought it was more for the spurt in business from the "Cash for Clunkers" program. But I hope it's true, as once the initial demand peaks, there will be DISCOUNTS on Camaros!

I doubt you will see any major discounts on the Camaro for a while yet. If they are selling them at MSRP why would they cut the price right now. I know Dodge didn't give any price breaks on the Challenger for a while.

But the Challenger SRT-8 is REALLY being discounted now (car was stupidly overpriced anyhow, and SS Camaro is faster and cheaper)- when they first came out they were marked up. I'll bet you see some deals before Christmas on Camaros- maybe $1000 off MSRP. Winter can put a damper on orders. Better deals in 2010. It always happens that way with new models coming out, unless they are Pontiac Aztec type duds.

The Arlington, TX GM plant is adding a third shift... the news today said "some" GM plants were adding shifts because of the Cash For Clunkers Program depleating all the dealerships stock. Didn't mention anything about the Camaro production. Wishful thinking....
