If im not mistaken arent stangs direct injection?

1 fuel injector for each cylinder?
your sierra also has one injector per cylinder but its not DI. Like Kyle said DI is really cool and new in gasoline egines but it has been used in diesel engines forever.

Well thats high 13's in the six. Get the SS and those problems are solved. Or put a little more work into the V6 and you will be rewarded...

Yes - they have a custom dyno tuning program for the CTS. Prices start at 650 for the tune. I also asked them about that. They said they can only tune the CTS, not the engine going into the camaro. I was like "What? Its the same exact engine..."
- Xanthos

P.S. - heres the email I got from them...

"At this time we are unable to determine if we'll be able to tune the new Camaro as our focus is primarily Cadillac. We are developing a new tune for the 08 CTS 3.6L DI motor and a new supercharger kit for it as well. Initial stages of testing have begun and the prototype is already installed on the car. I will have to check with my tuner on the new Camaro and if we'll have software for use with that model. Currently there is no available software for 3.6L DI motor.

Did they specify that it was, in fact, the Direct Injected model they could tune? I checked out their site; and there was not engine specified - it just said 'CTS'.

Well, in the email it said they were developing a tune for the DI. So, I guess right now they can tune the base, and they are working on the DI... I added the email to my last post.

Looks like someone's already making a supercharger for it.

And the supercharger isn't overly annoyingly loud either... Maybe this would make a good replacement for the turbo setup I was debating. Especially if they design it to run on stock internals. Buy the kit from them, install it myself, and end up with a nice sleeper.
- Xanthos

P.S. - I know they're designing it to fit the CTS, but I've looked at both engine compartments and the engine layout is identical - and, the camaro engine compartment is bigger. Should be able to fit the supercharger kit in with little to no modifications.

Not to stir a pot, but why get the V6 and supercharge it over getting V8? And who would want to void the warranty on a brand new camaro? Just curious.

And OMG that CTS looks sweet

I wouldn't slap it on right after I bought the thing...
But this is for down the road...when "the time comes" as it were.

Plus, aftermarket does not necessarily void the warranty. Even a supercharger.

It's not that hard not to have to prove anything. Dont drive like an idiot and blown your internals to shit. Its pretty simple.

It has absolutely nothing to do with YOU convincing THEM. THEY have to PROVE, without a doubt, that it caused the problem.
