Am I missing something here? I totally don't get why this is necessary. Do some of the Camaros with OnStar NOT have bluetooth built in? My 2SS came with it so I just assumed it was standard equipment.. no?

AdamCzap, you are correct bluetooth is not available on 1SS. I think 1LT cannot get it either.

Exactly, the base model LS, 1LT, and 1SS do not automatically come equipped with bluetooth phone support. As shown in my writeup there are two separate onstar modules. to get bluetooth phone from the factory in base model cars you must order the convenience and connectivity package ($750)

If you're like me and don't care about connecting an ipod but do want phone support than for about a tenth of the price of the C&C package you can do the above procedure and switch your onstar box to one with bluetooth.

To add to that, the C&C package is not available for the 1SS so the ONLY way to add it is this (or some other aftermarket solution).
