VARARAM WORKS!
As far as performance additions, I don't have much. MBRP cat back, and now a vararam intake and tune. As you can see from the Dyno graph (Mustang Dyno), the gains ARE pretty impressive. 20RWHP and 30RWTQ
My hat is off to VARARAM! Great work! Great Product! Even BETTER on-track performance through the Mid-Range RPM!!!

Were these gains from just the Vararam or the combination of mods + tuning?

Yes, but I wanted to know if the 20 rwhp increase (from his baseline numbers) were from adding the Vararam intake or from the intake, catback, and tune combined.
He mentions "and now" a Vararam intake and tune. So I'm assuming the 20 rwhp is a combination of the Vararam intake and a tune. He already had the catback exhaust on the car for the baseline. |

I'm guessing the tune helped out a lot...

Yeah I might get the same #'s if I went stock intake to CAI and tune. We would like to know what does just the Vararam bring to the table now that it has been motified and no longer makes a car a bucking jerkey ride.

20 for intake and tune seems little low IMO...since adm scoop on C.A.I. Cai added 18...
Just my $.02

Yeah, 20hp gain sucks for an intake and tune. My car gained 15 over base with just an LMR intake. This thread makes me glad I didnt buy into all the hype.

shouldn't a tune alone get like 20-25 rwhp?

If you read the Vararam site info, they state 3 to 5 tenths improvement in 1/4 mile time and 3 mph. That's pretty impressive. I had a Vararam on my 2002 Vette and it was very fast. 12.2 in the quarter at 118 mph. I wish I knew good dyno numbers on improvements with Vararam alone, though.

Not hardly. 5-7 at most. If you don't like that answer ask Jannetty. They have a no BS response policy.
They have also tested the Vararam independently. It is in line with the better CAI's on the market however it is not head and shoulders above the rest by any means. Can't go wrong with the Haltech or ADM. Performance per $$$ nothing beats the Haltech intake. Add the ADM race scoop to it and you have the best performing intake on the market for the 5th gen. |

MBRP claims 20 hp for their catback alone. So....somebody's not telling the "whole story".
