2011 Camaro "Rally Sport" option worth $1,200??

Well, just fantasizing about building my Camaro and after checking the price, is the RS option really worth $1,200? The only thing I would want this package for is the "Halo" front head lights. But I am pretty sure you can swap these out, right? Hell, they are just lights... I don't care for the RS specific tail lamps and painted roof molding and I will swap the stock wheels later on anyways...

So, I am thinking of a 1SS with an L99 and going one of two ways:

Get the RS package and sunroof ($2,100)

OR

get a ground effects package. ($2,265)

My wife loves the SGM so I would be down with that. It's that or black but she thinks it looks scary, lol!

But for what I want it's about $36,345 ( 1SS, L99, SGM, Black stripes, Boston sound package).

Hell, I need to build the credit anyways!!

Anyways, so was the RS package worth it to you??

(sorry for the rambling, but I am overseas and have only seen a handful of Camaro's when home on leave.) But I still got my trusty 75'!!

Nope not worth it... Get the base model if you plan to upgrade later. Looks great but for $1200 I would go back in time and tell myself NO!

Get a 2SS and not the RS stuff. If you want to run with headlights and foglights on that does not work on RS with out mods and then the light colors do not match.

2SS rocks.

Yes the RS package is worth it for the halo's and the xenon headlights alone.

To me it was the light that made me pick the RS. Bit annoyed that i am stuck with summer tires tho.... =(

To answer your question- yes. I have the 2SS/RS but off all my options I enjoy my sunroof the most. Like most options I think you will get much of your RS cost back if you decide to sell in a few years.

2SS rocks.

P13 LEDs and a DRL harness.

Easy day- always on, always match.

RS was worth it to me but I have a 1LT so I wanted the 20" wheels and P-Zeros because I like the stock wheels and I like the Halos a lot too

Love my 1SS/RS

So far I've been able to add the features that I really liked from the 2SS but didn't want to pay the 2SS price just to get them.

- USB port
- 4 pack guages
