Lightbulb "Camaro" side lettering delete?

Anyone know the technique to deleting the side lettering? Plan on getting some black lettering or just leave the letters off.

Any advice is appreciated!

Fishing line or dental floss. Warm it up first.

All the best,

I put down painters tape around the emblem and used a flat wide plastic trim panel tool. Used goo gone and a soft rag and gently rubbed until the residue was gone. Then when it was all cleaned up I used a scratch remover polish and a microfiber cloth to clean off whatever dirt and junk was left that made the ghost letters.

I feel like using the trim panel tool would scratch the paint?

Sharp wood chisel and a 3 pound hammer, they came right off.

Patience is the key. Fishing line is an alternative that won't scratch the paint. But either removal method will require cleaning of residue and left over junk.

I used 10lb braid finish line. Make sure you have some goo gone, and be patient. Removing the lettering is easy, getting all the residue off can take a bit of time. Would also suggest giving the car a good wash so that you can see if you got all the glue off, and get all the goo gone residue off the car. I did the removal in the shade

I actually sprayed some goo gone on the letters and let it sit for a bit then used a piece of dental floss. They came off easy and so did the leftover residue.
