lol seriously unless one takes there new camaro to the drag strip or is braking the law, no one is going to be impressed by the numbers, its all about intimidation I say.

Notice what is missing from all of the reviews, mention of wheel hop. That is a very good sign.

Yes, this is very promising... Glad to see there is not even a mention of it.

I find it VERY interesting that the M6 SS 426 hp runs 13.0 @ 111, the GT500 500 hp 12.9 @ 112. Now I know, the GT500 will do ALOT more with 2K in mods vs the SS, but this just goes to show that's a pretty even starting point...Needless to say, those folks that are trying to compare the SS with the Mustang GT are grasping at straws...

FYI the Mustang GT already has a "track pack" , a pedderized SS with aftermarket wheels and tires (track pack) will blow the GT's handling and braking #'s out of the water.

I'll say this though, when/if the Mustang gets its 400hp V8, this is gonna get REAL interesting...

I noticed the same thing, definitely a good sign!

Yup, sounds like the Camaro is pretty easy to launch and drag well. Usually reviews talk about how they found the best procedure, and it usually has some difficulty. Not here. Cheers!

Yes but lets not compare a GT500 which is in a greater price bracket than a 2SS... and with all that extra dough im sure the Camaro will be able to let the GT500 know how overmatched it really is...

Why am I not suprised that the usual Mustang-driving suspects are already out in force cherry-picking test results & numbers. Soon enough we will get legitimate comparison tests where the two cars are put SIDE BY SIDE for fair competition, with the same drivers on the same track under the same conditions. Then we'll see who falls where in the pecking order, but by all means have fun in the meantime with your INTERNET BENCH RACING.

If you aren't a regular, then check the person's post count and join date before making comments. I hold garagelogic in a high regard for his great posts and insights despite constant attacking (hey I've thrown some punches, I can't help it!). In the end of the day, don't make a blanket comment unless you know what you're talking about.

Is it just me, or does it look a little out of control in the slalom? It almost looks like a frantic attempt to regain control and they just happened to fly through the cones. Given that most reviews said this car feels planted and pretty easy to handle, I'm sure that isn't really the case, but that's how it looks.

Yes I have, but it just looked less composed than other cars I've seen in other Edmunds slalom test videos. And of course, that isn't the case, since the Camaro's poise and stability were pretty much universally praised. Guess its just me.
