Yes , it is more difficult to get in and out of (but much easier than the Viper) and the interior room is tighter. But those weren't deal breakers in of any sort. The C7 is an awesome car in EVERY way! But SO is the ZL1! I was considering the ZL1 when I bought the C7 and a year ago, you couldn't find a C7 on a lot anywhere. The C7 is a beautiful car with serious performance along with build quality and attitude to match. But i had owned mine for a little over a year at this point and when the 20% off offer popped up on the ZL1, I knew that - for me - it was the time to trade. I actually had been looking at ZL1s for ~the last month, having been bitten by the F-body bug again. And the things the ZL1 offered my C7 did not have. 580 HP, a blown LS motor, mag ride, dual mode exhaust, ZL1 looks, two more seats, bigger tires and wheels, and an even more aggressive look to me. Those reasons are in no way a criticism of the C7. But they ARE are the same things that had me on the fence a year ago between a C7 and the Camaro. This ZL1 came in a little over a week ago as a stock unit, I'm the only one that has driven it (other than the dealer service tech for delivery prep), it is the right color (for me), the massive rebate popped up, the dealer is less than 30 minutes from my house, and the numbers were ridiculously to my advantage so I pulled the trigger. It was the right car, the right deal, and a great dealer that just added ice cream to my cake. And the Viper? Just drive one and you will see why that snake is pure badass. I loved that car too. But I just like to trade cars!

Nice man. I'd love me a viper or a C7, but I can't fit in them at all. I'm 6'5, all leg, and my knees are smack up against the dash when I sit up straight, or if I slouch over. There's no way for me to fit. Pure sadness.
But I can fit in a ZL1 Sweet ride man. |

I love the C7 but your right...I'm 6' 225lbs and when I test drove the C7 it is a tight fit. The Gen5 Camaros are much more comfortable to drive and cruise in.

That is crazy isn't it? Instant gratification perhaps. It really pays to be patient and wait. Let the new owners become the beta testers. I would never pay over MSRP for a vehicle. I waited until the end of the year when I bought my ZL1 after surfing this site getting feedback. I still need to go sit in one to experience what everyone is talking about as far as fitment. To the OP congratulations on your ZL1.

At least you didn't trade for a gen 5 viper. I almost broke myself getting in and out of that. The price on the ZL1 is really sweet. And you will make cheap power with pulley swaps and stuff. Enjoy!
