Yup there's a few, check out the member list on the first post. I list the towns we live in for just such an inquiry and so fellow members can meet up on their way to events. You're new, can I get your first name for the list and I assume you live in West Haven? in advance, if you're joining the CT Gang!

Hey Bud, did you change your suspension? I didn't think 1LE suspension was an available option on the special edition model.

Welcome to CT
Hi Scott, Welcome to CT. Do you know what part of CT you'll be moving to yet?
As far as prepping your car for the CT winters, a few considerations to start off with are: 1) Your radiator coolant (anti-freeze) should be checked to ensure its rated for below zero temperatures, especially the if you plan on keeping it outside or in a non-heated garage. 2) If you plan on driving it in the winter, make sure you tires are suitable for cold weather use, and you'll want to consider installing snow tires or All-Season radial tires if you don't already have them. |

Store it - keep it in a garage during the winter and drive your truck..
they use a ton of salt and sand and a liquid salt brine (salt and magnesium chloride) on the roads here during the winter, and it'll eat your car up.. http://www.wfsb.com/story/23874231/m...damage-to-cars |

What they said ^^ .. and invest in a battery tender. I always wondered why anyone would want to move to CT. I am guessing work? :-)

to the Club Scott! Let us know what town you move too. Check the first page of this post for members that may be near you. Always better to head to shows with another camaro buddy.
You're on our list and just check the New England page for upcoming shows in September. Join us for any of them you want. One of our favorites is at the end of September at Fort Adams in RI that you won't want to miss. See ya in September! Jay

I'm in
Not sure which thread I'm responding to, but if it's the NEC5 thread, I'm in. Is there anything else I need to do?

Camaro in Winter
I agree with the tires, battery tender, and salt comments. They've even changed the salt spreading to a pre-treat solution that in my opinion does more damage to your undercarriage and finish than salt.
Don't know where you live, I live in Manchester and there's an all you can eat car wash on Broad St. that for $14.95 let's you wash your car everyday, or in this case, every time you drive in the snow and slush so the message here is: if you drive in the snow and slush, wash your car early and often. Also, you might consider detailing your car in October/November and then "spritz" it with a detailing spray every time you wash. May sound excessive, but most of us in this forum are excessive when it comes to our cars. Oh and don't forget to replace your windshield wipers before AND AFTER winter! You might as well enjoy our beautiful back roads with lots of twists and turns because your increased taxes are paying for it! |
