What about a single index finger wave from the top of the steering wheel? Thumbs up seems a little '70's redneckish imho. Everytime I see a thumbs up from anyone I immediately look at the face in preparation for a less than full toothed grin.

I like the one finger raise from the steering wheel, cuz it works with both hands...and for style you can add the head nod.

Everybody does that. note: as owner of a mustang, i will state usually all the musclecar drivers tend to acknowlege you in a positive way, as is on many occasions we seem to be the only ones around who even have a musclecar.

note: it is a comical experience when you run into someone who has virtually your same exact car and you live in the same neighborhood. people say to me "there's your friend", although we have never met.

LOL; I hear ya' on that one. There are a couple in my area I see once-and-a-while that I've thought about waiving to, but they don't seem to be enthusiasts or anything because they haven't modd' the car. Who knows though? I could be wrong and that thing could eat my lunch at the track.
